Manchester City has rolled out the red carpet for its UAE fan base, announcing an exciting leg of the global ‘Treble Trophy Tour’. Fans will have the golden opportunity to lay their eyes on the iconic trophies that the team clinched in the historic 2022/23 season – the Premier League, FA Cup, UEFA Champions League and UEFA Super Cup.
Festivities kick off on 5 October and wrap up on 8 October. Part of an international tour, this stop marks the first appearance of the UEFA Champions League and UEFA Super Cup trophies in the UAE, alongside the Premier League and FA Cup, following the club’s phenomenal success in 2023.
For all you City fans out there, brace yourselves for an unforgettable experience. On 8 October, you can head over to Louvre Abu Dhabi for a free public match screening starting at 5.30pm. That’s not all! You also stand a chance to meet the legendary Joleon Lescott and snag some signed merchandise. The day promises an array of activities, including freestyle performances and a special appearance by City’s mascots, Moonchester and Moonbeam.
The two-time Premier League and FA Cup champion with City is thrilled to be back in the UAE, saying, “Seeing our UAE fans is always special, and to bring the four trophies will be a historic moment for our devoted fans.”
Lescott, who boasts an impressive trophy cabinet from his time at Manchester City, also shared his excitement about the upcoming Arsenal fixture. “Last season’s games between Manchester City and Arsenal were brilliant, so I’m really looking forward to watching another highly competitive game against two great teams at the iconic Louvre Abu Dhabi Park.”
