You’ll be able to travel to Baku this summer from AED 179.
The newest national airline of the UAE, Wizz Air Abu Dhabi, has announced the launch of its latest route to Baku, Azerbaijan, from 14 August 2021.
Following the announcement of new routes to Moldova, Mykonos, Rhodes and Crete last month, the launch of the new route will see the airline fly to 29 worldwide destinations.
Azerbaijan is currently on Abu Dhabi’s green list of countries meaning that travellers will not be required to quarantine upon arrival or when returning to the UAE’s capital.
The flight to Baku will operate twice a week on Tuesdays and Saturdays, with fares starting from just AED 179.
The new route to the capital city of Azerbaijan opens up yet another opportunity for travellers to explore unique destinations from Abu Dhabi or reconnect with friends and family.
Baku is positioned on the coast of the beautiful Caspian Sea and is the most southern point of Azerbaijan. Located at the crossroads of Europe, Asia and the Middle East, the city’s heritage, leisure and architecture is the perfect blend of multiple cultures.

Wizz Air Abu Dhabi has the youngest fleet composed of four brand new state-of-the-art Airbus A321neo aircraft, offering the lowest fuel burn, emissions, and noise footprint.
The airline has also introduced a new era of sanitised travel across its network, with enhanced hygiene measures to ensure the health and safety of passengers and crew. In addition, everyone onboard Wizz Air Abu Dhabi flights will have been tested before boarding and approved to travel in line with Abu Dhabi Airport guidelines.
