The Game Of Thrones stars appearance sets an excellent precedent for the 2022 edition of MEFCC.
Actor Nathalie Emmanuel, from the fantasy series Game of Thrones, the Fast & Furious franchise and her forthcoming role in the Netflix film Army Of Thieves, has been confirmed as the first international celebrity attendee to appear at the 2022 Middle East Film & Comic Con (MEFCC).
Supported by the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi), the event will offer visitors the chance to meet their favourite superheroes and pop culture icons while enjoying cosplay parades, Anime bands and alternative rock groups.
Previous editions have seen the likes of Jason Momoa, Zachary Levi, Benedict Wong, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, Ezra Miller, Iwan Rheon, Tara Strong, Seth Green, Gillian Anderson and William Shatner flown in for the event. Nathalie Emmanuel’s presence in Abu Dhabi sets an excellent precedent for the 2022 edition of MEFCC, which is shaping up to be the best yet, with more exciting announcements in the pipeline.
Taking place from Thursday 3 to Saturday 5 March 2022, MEFCC will draw in a series of VIPs from cult-hit series’ and movies for meet-and-greets, insightful talks, interviews, and many more event activations.
A major highlight will be the recently confirmed booth from Marvel. With fan-favourites like Iron Man and The Avengers, to more recent icons like Shang-Chi, the Marvel booth is sure to be a Comic Con crowd pleaser and bring super-fans closer to the action-packed super hero universe curated by Marvel.
Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre will serve as the home for this edition of the popular event. Commenting on the confirmed participants in the early stages, Show Director Michael Lamprecht said, “We have had the pleasure of delighting our visitors over the past decade by offering the chance to meet some of the world’s leading names in the industry, which has cemented our loyal follower base. We are honoured to be welcoming back Marvel, and to host Nathalie Emmanuel as the first of what will be a host of globally renowned celebrities at this year’s edition of the event. This level of attendance seen right off the bat, signifies the growth of the event and its popularity as we look ahead to 2022.”
