Taking place during November at the Anantara in Salalah, the month-long celebration will put Oman on the culinary map.
Al Baleed Resort Salalah by Anantara is bringing back the Al Baleed Culinary Festival to the Middle East this month. You can expect a month-long celebration of food, which is built on the success of the previous three editions.
Supported by Experience Oman, the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism, Dhofar Municipality, and Amouage, the festival brings together culinary star power with the bold flavours and timeless traditions that make Oman unlike anywhere else.
The resort’s own culinary stars are stepping into the spotlight alongside well-known guest chefs from Michelin-starred kitchens across Europe. This includes two of Europe’s most celebrated chefs, Jacob Jan Boerma from the Netherlands who will headline a Symphony of Taste on 12 November, and Christian Jürgens from Germany who takes the stage with the Pursuit of Excellence on 15 November, both of whom will be creating special four-course menus with the freshest Omani produce at Mekong. Live entertainment will complement the dinners, ensuring an atmosphere as memorable as the cuisine.

The hotel’s very own Chef Raveevan Kahawan will host a five-course Taste of Mekong set menu on 3, 10 and 17 November and will lead the Far East Night buffet on 5 and 19 November. Chef Sufian Akhtar celebrates exotic tastes of the subcontinent with a buffet and live stations at Sakalan through Flavours of the Spice Route from 4, 11 and 18 November.
Meanwhile Chef Andrea Carrone will honour the fruits of the sea with the Taste of the Arabian Ocean on 6 and 20 November, with an à la carte showcase of the day’s catch paired with handmade pastas, autumn salads, and farm vegetables at Al Mina. On 7 and 21 November, Omani Nights at Sakalan takes you deeper into local culture with a four-course menu from Chef Ammar Al Harthi and Chef Khalood Abdullah Jamaan Khazana.
Throughout the festival, Head Pastry Chef, Khin Hnin Aung will oversee the creation of all sweets, desserts, and pastries, ensuring every dining experience is complemented by an exquisite finale.
One of the most important moments of the festival will be the Al Baleed Kitchen Party on 14 November at Al Mina. The chefs will come together and transform Al Mina with interactive dining, live stations, and entertainment throughout the evening.
