Nightmare on Elm Street actress Katie Cassidy is amongst the lineup of stars for the new pop culture festival.
Dubai will host the first edition PopCon Middle East this November, showcasing movies, television shows, comics, graphic novels and anime. The event is expected to feature exclusive workshops, movie screenings and cosplay gaming competitions at the Dubai Exhibition Centre at Expo City Dubai.
Featuring a lineup of international talent, Nightmare on Elm Street and Arrow actress Katie Cassidy has already been confirmed, alongside Supernatural’s Kevin Tran, and Dirk Gently’s Holistic Detective Agency’s Osric Chau, Voice actor Ray Porter best known for his portrayal of DC Comics Villain, Darkseid in Zack Snyder’s Justice League will also make an appearance.
This festival will allow fans to celebrate their favourite celebrities, meet like-minded people, and indulge in the world of fantasy all under one roof. Comic book fans will get the opportunity to meet their favourite talents, attend exclusive workshops and buy one-of-a-kind merchandise at the Artist Alley. PopCon Middle East will also host its own People’s Choice Cosplay, Dungeons and Dragons, and Pokémon/Yu-Gi-Oh card competitions.
