F1 weekend just got a whole lot more exciting.
Eight-time Grammy-winning R&B superstar Usher will join UK rap artist Dave at the Yasalam after-race concerts on Thursday, 17 November 2022, at Etihad Park.
With only two weeks remaining of the 2022 Formula 1 calendar, excitement for the season finale is building as Abu Dhabi Motorsports Management and Flash Entertainment today announced that Usher would perform in the capital.
Bookending a full four-day line-up of global music superstars, Usher joins multi-Platinum artist Kendrick Lamar, multi-Grammy nominated trio Swedish House Mafia, and 2019 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductees Def Leppard in the biggest entertainment line-up in Abu Dhabi GP history.
Usher has gathered eight Grammy Awards and is “one of the best-selling artists in American music history,” according to the RIAA. In addition, he catapulted four consecutive albums to #1 on the Billboard Top 200, beginning with the landmark diamond-certified Confessions in 2004.
The news comes as the Middle East’s biggest entertainment weekend prepares to host its largest-ever number of racegoers – 70,000 fans – and once again bring the world to the UAE.
Access to the concerts is exclusively for Abu Dhabi Grand Prix ticket holders. While unprecedented global demand has seen all 2022 Grand Prix tickets sold out, limited Golden Circle access is still available, providing the best possible access closest to the stage at Etihad Park.
