Having collaborated twice in the past, the two artists will take the stage at Coca-Cola Arena next month.
Between the catchy beats of “Whatever U Like” (2007) and slick lyrics of “Electric Blue” (2014), popstar Nicole Scherzinger and rapper T.I. are no strangers to each other’s genre of music. Now, the two artists are gearing up to reunite on stage at Coca-Cola Arena in Dubai, marking the first time that they’ll headline an event together. The concert is scheduled for Sunday, 12 May, a day after Shaggy and Blackstreet’s performance at the same venue on 11 May.
For those in need of a noughties crash course, here’s what you need to know: Scherzinger is the singer, dancer, and performer famed for powerhouse vocals and captivating stage presence. You likely know her as the lead singer of pop group The Pussycat Dolls, whose tracks “Buttons” and “Don’t Cha” topped the charts and remain etched in the hearts of millennials everywhere. Scherzinger played a pivotal role in the group’s success, showcasing her vocal prowess and captivating stage presence before continuing solo once the girl group disbanded in 2021. More recently, her music career has spawned multiple hits, “Baby Love” and “Stick with you” included.
She will be joined by T.I., who has earned widespread recognition and critical acclaim for his contributions to hip-hop. He has won multiple Grammy Awards throughout his career, including Best Rap Solo Performance for “What You Know” and Best Rap Performance by a Duo or Group for “Swagga Like Us”. Incidentally, the rap icon only just performed in Dubai alongside Jamaican DJ Sean Paul at Coca-Cola Arena in December 2023. As for the upcoming show? It promises a one-of-a-kind reunion concert experience unlike any other.
