The UAE capital will host the finale race weekend of the season from 5-7 December 2025.
In an announcement, the Federation Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA) revealed that Australia will return to its traditional position as the first race of the new season next year, due to the timing of the holy month of Ramadan pushing back races in Bahrain and Saudi Arabia.
The Australian Grand Prix will be followed by races in China and Japan before the two events in the Middle East. The 2025 calendar will include the same 24 races as this year’s record-breaking season.
Abu Dhabi has been on the Formula 1 calendar since 2009 and is due to take place at the Yas Marina Circuit until at least 2030.
F1 chairman and chief executive officer Stefano Domenicali, whose responsibility it is to organise the calendar, said “2025 will be a special year as we celebrate the 75th anniversary of the FIA Formula 1 World Championship, and it’s that legacy and experience that allows us to deliver such a strong calendar.
“Once again, we’ll visit 24 incredible venues around the world, delivering top class racing, hospitality, and entertainment, which will be enjoyed by millions of fans worldwide.”
Tickets are on sale for the 2024 race weekend in Abu Dhabi, with artists for the official after-race concerts set to be revealed soon.
