The Swedish DJ’s internationally acclaimed show will close out GITEX GLOBAL on 18 October.
At a time when audio-visual experiences in the EDM space can often feel predictable, one remains a mind-blowing spectacle to behold: HOLO. A brainchild of platinum-selling Swedish DJ and producer Eric Prydz, the world-renowned show has not only featured at festivals like Tomorrowland, Sónar, and Coachella, but also travelled to cities such as Melbourne, Miami, Buenos Aires, London and more, winning rave reviews along the way. Now, for the first time, Eric Prydz is bringing HOLO to Dubai, taking over Expo City Arena on 18 October.
The show will close out GITEX Global, which will span two mega venues – Dubai World Trade Centre and Dubai Harbour – for its 44th edition. And considering the annual event will once again showcase tech giants and innovative start-ups in fields like AI, cybersecurity, and sustainable tech, HOLO makes for a fitting grand finale. A celebration of musical innovation and cutting-edge technology, the show has wowed audiences across the world thanks to its uniquely immersive fusion of lasers, bespoke lighting, a massive LED screen, striking 3D holographic projections, and Prydz’s signature style of progressive house. Needless to say, the hype around this one is warranted.
While the upcoming show will mark HOLO’s debut in Dubai, courtesy of M Premiere in collaboration with Uniglobal Projects, Prydz – whose many aliases include Pryda and Cirez D – is hardly new to the city’s EDM scene. The former Swedish House Mafia member headlined the inaugural Soho Garden Festival in 2023, electrifying Dubai Media City Amphitheatre with his high-octane set. Come 18 October, a number of opening DJs will warm up the crowd before his highly awaited return, but the exact line-up is yet to be revealed. Ranging from AED 175 (General Admission) to AED 850 (VIP Standing), early bird tickets to HOLO are now available via Platinumlist.
