With the Russian community thriving across Dubai, it was only a matter of time until a destination like District 8 arrived on our shores, further diversifying the dining scene. Now open in Dubai Marina, it houses three concepts under one roof – Blume, Rodina, and Luxuria – and promises to redefine the way Dubai lives, dines, and celebrates. From the creators of the AI-driven Zenon restaurant, each venue at this multi-level dining and nightlife destination has its own take on the merging of culinary innovation and artistic expression. Blume
Blume, a haven of lush greenery and globally inspired flavours, is where nature and gastronomy intertwine, drawing inspiration from the historic Silk Road and creating a narrative that celebrates diverse cultures. From sunlit breakfasts to glowing sunsets, its lush botanical décor and expansive Marina-view terrace create the ideal setting to enjoy cooler temperatures. The menu boasts over 100 dishes, blending Mediterranean classics, Japanese delicacies, and international favourites.
Staying true to its garden-to-table philosophy, many herbs are grown on-site, and produce is sourced from nearby local farms. We’re told that menu highlights include the signature Herb-Roasted Lamb, delicately infused with rosemary from Blume’s own garden, and the freshly stone oven baked Truffle Pizza. To complete the experience, an exceptional beverage menu and artisanal shisha flavours set the stage for unwinding under the stars.
Rodina
Rodina, meaning ‘Motherland’ in Russian, transports guests to the architectural wonders of Moscow, paying homage to the Russian aristocratic culture. Inspired by the grandeur of the iconic beauty of Saint Basil’s Cathedral, the space radiates timeless elegance. The authentic fine-dining menu, created by award-winning celebrity chef Viktor Beley, reimagines Russian classics — the indulgent truffle-laced Moscow Pelmeni and Olivier salad elevated with Oscietra caviar are prime examples. Signature cocktails include the likes of Nutcracker (a decadent blend of rum, caramelised pecan, and banana foam) and Dostoevsky that features porcini gin and Campari.
Luxuria
As night falls, Luxuria takes the stage, blending high-energy entertainment with refined dining. This Russian karaoke lounge is designed to impress, with sleek modern interiors, plush seating, and vibrant lighting that brings the space to life. With a packed line-up of 30 unique shows, you can expect everything from international and Russian artists to stand-up comedy acts as no two nights are the same. With its dazzling champagne shows and an array of decadent dishes – including the Golden Maki sushi – Luxuria elevates every evening to something the city hasn’t seen before.
