What to expect at the Open Fire Food Festival

Inspired by Steve Harvey’s passion for fire-grilled food, the two-day event will take over Etihad Park in November.

Abu Dhabi’s dining scene is set to heat up – quite literally – come fall as the Open Fire Food Festival returns for its second edition from 8 to 9 November. Helmed again by Steve Harvey himself, the two-day festival will bring together the world’s top celebrity BBQ chefs and pitmasters, cooking classes and demonstrations, and live entertainment for a one-of-a-kind culinary experience. Grillers, take note: the second edition will take place at Etihad Park.

You may know the American comedian and TV host for his work on the likes of Family Feud, Celebrity Family Feud, Think Like a Man, and The Steve Harvey Show, but he’s just as known for his passion for all things fiery. The inaugural edition, which took place at Yas Marina Circuit last year, was a celebration of bold flavours, cultural diversity, and the primal art of cooking over open flames. From sizzling grills and smoky bites to great tunes and unbeatable vibes, the family-friendly Open Fire Food Festival is more than just food; it’s a feast for the senses and a celebration of community.

At its heart are the buzzing open fire backyards where live-fire cooking, hands-on experiences, and storytelling collide, making for an event where everyone from families and curious foodies to hardcore grill masters come together. More details are expected to drop soon. In the meantime, tickets ranging in price from AED 60 (general access) to AED 200 (VIP access) are available via Platinumlist.
