Roald Dahl’s CHARLIE AND THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY is making its Middle East debut at the Etihad Area, Yas Island from 28 August to 6 September this year.
Produced by Broadway International Group and Broadway Asia, the famous musical is brought to you by Abu Dhabi by Proactiv Entertainment, in partnership with the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi and Miral.
Based on the novel by Roald Dahl, the production follows the journey of Charlie Bucket’s golden ticket to the magical world of Willy Wonker’s chocolate factory. Inside awaits a world where Oompa-Lumpas are in charge, chocolate rivers flow and nut-sorting squirrels are part of the experience. The musical is brought to life with outstanding visuals, imaginative stagecraft and characters who are larger-than-life.
Expect iconic songs from the classic 1971 film, including Pure Imagination, The Candy Man, and I’ve Got a Golden Ticket, alongside original music by Grammy and Tony Award winners Marc Shaiman and Scott Wittman, the creative team behind Hairspray and Mary Poppins Returns.
