Palm Jumeirah’s nightlife scene has been injected with excitement, with the arrival of AKA at The Pointe.
AKA Restaurant is a cyberpunk-inspired Japanese lounge that redefines the traditional dining experience, wowing guests with its small, glamorous space in which rich velvet interiors set the stage for an exciting night-time journey.
The energetic new venue will launch a new evening brunch this week, featuring a delicious four-course menu filled with some of the Japanese restaurant’s best dishes. AKA’s Sundowner Evening Brunch offers an Asian-inspired lounge menu of sharing plates, paired with beverages, selected for the tastes of discerning guests.
Light starters include AKA house salad, crispy baby squid and creamy burrata, followed by a chef’s selection of sushi. Guests can expect black cod, spicy seafood noodles, and the extremely popular Wagyu tenderloin for the main course.
Sundowner Evening Brunch-goers can end the night with chocolate fondant and a mochi selection for dessert. Meanwhile, entertainment comes from AKA’s resident DJ, who will be on the decks throughout the evening playing a varied setlist that defies genre.
Drawing on an eclectic selection of contemporary references such as Bladerunner and a touch of Madame Butterfly, the venue puts a unique twist on the unexpected. Nestled on the west side of The Pointe, AKA boasts a Pan Asian menu, luxurious deep red furniture and Instagrammable cherry blossoms. AKA offers a memorable night out with stunning views over the world’s tallest fountains from the terrace.
The Sundowner Evening Brunch runs on Saturdays, from 6pm to 9pm. AED 350 (soft beverages), AED 550 (house beverages) and AED 890 (Champagne).
