Sofitel Dubai The Palm has opened Laguna Lounge, a Mediterranean-inspired boho-chic beach destination. The new beachfront venue invites guests to indulge in private cabanas, dine al fresco or bask beneath the golden sun.
Laguna Lounge will transport you to the beautiful Greek Mediterranean islands with boho-chic interiors inspired by Cycladic elements. Pick one of the private luxury cabanas as your retreat, and rest under the golden sun. Or for an exclusive experience, the pagoda-style VIP cabanas offer more privacy and elevated views of the ocean and the Palm Jumeirah skyline.
Shaped in a grid of natural eucalyptus wooden columns, Laguna Lounge houses its dining and lounging areas within a “forest” of tree trunks, with a 100-year-old olive tree at the centre. A part of the lounge’s ceiling resembles the waves on the beach, where naturally occurring elements sit in harmony with the environment. There are whitewashed stairs and uneven stone walls that bring to mind the narrow alleys of Mykonos.
A menu of carefully curated recipes including sushi and sashimi, grills and salads await, along with an extensive menu of white and rosé grapes. In addition, Laguna Lounge’s cocktail menu has a unique take on the Mediterranean theme, incorporating ingredients and edible garnishes that evoke the power of the sea.
