The AED 3 billion project is projected to be completed in 2027.
The highly anticipated design of the region’s first ever Buddha-Bar Hotel and Floating Residences has been unveiled to debut on the World Islands. Combining island living with immersive design and signature experiences by Buddha-Bar, featuring the hotel, floating residences and beach.
This is the first time the Buddha-Bar concept is being built on the shores of an island setting, and we are expecting a serene seaside escape on The World Islands.
The Buddha-Bar Hotel will have 162 rooms, with a floor dedicated to branded residences. It will reflect the brand’s iconic DNA with a fusion of Far Eastern influences, and a sleek, modern design. Guests can enjoy a mix of culinary experiences from around the globe, as well as an in-house spa with Eastern-inspired rituals and modern treatments all designed to boost relaxation.

“Buddha-Bar Hotel and Floating Residences at The World Islands is a breakthrough for our brand,” said Nabil Souhail, Vice President of Buddha-Bar International. “This project is a convergence of our DNA – music, mood, and magic – with next-level hospitality design. Guests will be transported into a new dimension of sensory luxury at a very unique destination.”
Beyond the hotel, and part of the destination will be a collection of 24 adjacent floating residences, which will glide above the water’s edge and bring together advanced marine engineering and underwater living. The residences will span three levels across 4,000 sqft for up to eight guests. With a rooftop jacuzzi and dining lounge, a sea-level living space and private deck. The underwater level will hold two bedrooms all surrounded by beautiful coral gardens.
Buddha-Bar Beach on The World Island will have an all-day, all-night restaurant, lounge and beach club. As well as sunrise yoga sessions, beachside brunches and sunset sets with DJs from around the globe.
