The Irish high street retailer is bringing its low-cost fashion model to the UAE for the first time.
Primark is opening its first store in Dubai this month, marking its debut in the UAE.
The brand began life in Dublin, Ireland, in 1969 under the name Penneys, which it still uses in Ireland today. As it expanded internationally, it became known as Primark and has since grown into a global retailer with more than 470 stores across 18 countries.
Now a subsidiary of Associated British Foods, the brand is known for its accessible pricing across clothing, accessories, beauty and homeware.
The Dubai store will offer the full product range, including menswear, womenswear, childrenswear and home items. Pricing is expected to compete with international markets, with jeans from around AED 55, T-shirts from AED 9 and bags and shoes starting from AED 27.
The first UAE location will open at Dubai Mall on 26 March. Doors open at 10am, with the launch beginning from 9.30am ahead of the official opening.
This marks Primark’s second store in the Middle East, following its Kuwait opening in 2025. The regional expansion is being led by Alshaya Group, which operates a wide portfolio of international brands across retail and hospitality.
Further UAE locations are already planned. A second store is set to open at City Centre Mirdif in April, followed by a third at Mall of the Emirates in May. Exact opening dates have yet to be confirmed.
For those who usually stock up on Primark socks during a trip to the UK or Ireland, this should make things a lot easier.
