The acclaimed European bar brings its quirky personality to Business Bay.
Night-owls and foodies across Dubai are in for an Insta-worthy feast with the opening of Madrid’s Salmon Guru in the heart of Business Bay.
The intimate venue combines three distinct areas – 1960’s Tropical Speakeasy, Asian Night Market, and a Comic Book themed area – to ensure a remarkable evening fuelled by master mixology and bountiful bar bites.
Salmon Guru’s 1960s-inspired Tropical section is where guests can marvel at the skilled bartenders. The ‘Asian Night’ area offers a market-inspired space with an exclusive feel, tucked away at the back of the bar for extra privacy. Lastly, a vibrant comic book area tapping into childhood nostalgia is brought to life with popping neons and retro comic art. There is also a terrace.
Things are executed a little differently at Salmon Guru and the attention is most definitely in the details. Expect a vibrant and friendly European style cocktail experience featuring signature drinks served in custom glassware resembling tree frogs, glow-in-the-dark lotus flowers and anthropomorphised fish. The Dubai menu will introduce a new signature cocktail available exclusively in the Middle East, and all of the original signatures served in Madrid.

The man behind Salmon Guru’s creativity is bar industry figurehead Diego Cabrera. He brings his fun and intimate European cocktail-driven experience to Dubai, following the success of Salmon Guru Madrid, which opened in 2016 and is currently ranked #24 on the World’s 50 Best Bars list.
Cabrera has personally designed the Dubai, putting all of his creativity and experience into his first project outside of Spain. He has handpicked and trained his team to ensure that the quality and standard of service truly replicates the drinks, world-class service and atmosphere found in Madrid.
Salmon Guru also boasts a curated bar bites selection. And no – they don’t serve any salmon! Named to express the ability to go upstream and against the flow, Salmon Guru celebrates the rebellious mantra of the salmon.
