The legendary DJ has been revealed as the headliner at the city’s ultimate NYE bash.
McGettigan’s and Full Circle kept us on our toes for a hot minute, but the headline act at the New Year’s Eve Countdown to 2023 has been revealed: Armin van Buuren. Performing at Dubai Media City Amphitheatre, which will be transformed into an alfresco nightclub for this unforgettable evening, the superstar DJ will be joined by globetrotting DJs Justus and Fedde Le Grand.
New to electronic music? Armin van Buuren has been one of the genre’s biggest DJs and producers for over 20 years. His life-long dedication to the scene has earned him a Grammy nomination for “This Is What It Feels Like” and critical acclaim for global hit singles such as “Blah Blah Blah”, “Great Spirit”, “Leave A Little Love”, and “Music Means Love Forever”. Additionally, he claimed the number one spot in DJ Mag’s annual Top 100 DJs poll for an unprecedented five times, contributing to the 20 consecutive top five spots to date. As a performer, Armin had headlined countless shows at leading festivals and venues around the world, including Electric Daisy Carnival (Las Vegas, New York), Ultra Music Festival (Miami), and Tomorrowland (Belgium) plus residencies at Hï Ibiza, in Las Vegas, and numerous others.
As for the rest of the line-up? Fedde Le Grand’s influence can be felt throughout the electronic landscape; the award-winning DJ has remixed the biggest artists around – Coldplay, Madonna, will.i.am, Robbie Williams, Fatboy Slim and Michael Jackson included. Accompanying him will be Dutch star Justus, a talented music producer and DJ who has been touted by the likes of Tiësto, David Guetta, MORTEN, Afrojack, DVBBS, Carnage and Steve Aoki. Ticket prices range from AED 299 (early bird) to AED 20,000 for a VIP table of eight (food and premium bottles included). Clearly, this will be a countdown to remember.
