Sole DXB, the highly anticipated festival celebrating youth culture and contemporary creativity in the region, is back from 8 to 10 December at Dubai Design District (d3).
Marking 50 years of hip-hop, Sole DXB presents an extraordinary lineup featuring regional and international artists, including iconic figures in the genre. The festival’s headliner on Sunday, 10 December, will be the superstar American rapper and record producer Busta Rhymes. Known as a pioneer in hip-hop since the 1980s, Busta Rhymes boasts an impressive discography, collaborating with artists like Janet Jackson, Mariah Carey, and Lil’ Wayne.
The lineup for Saturday, 9 December, will see Jadakiss making his UAE debut on the main stage alongside the legendary Big Daddy Kane, the enigmatic Tobe Nwigwe, Sudanese-American ODDISEE, and the master of instrumental Hip-Hop, DJ Shadow. Nadine El Roubi, a Sudanese singer, songwriter, and rapper based in Cairo, will also grace the main stage.
Sunday, 10 December, welcomes Sampa the Great and Syrian-American rapper/spoken word poet Omar Offendum as part of the festival’s carefully curated lineup.
This year, Sole DXB also introduces the UAE Mixtape, a showcase of the region’s rap artists, including The Recipe, Tac, Tayeb Santo, A’Y, Maxi Zee, and Moh Flow, hosted by Mazzi of Def Jam.
With a focus on highlighting emerging ideas alongside established names, the festival offers a platform for businesses to engage with the youth. Beyond the impressive lineup of international and emerging talent, attendees can anticipate global brands, ranging from sportswear to independent fashion and design from the region and beyond.
Sole DXB kicks off the 29th edition of the Dubai Shopping Festival (DSF), enhancing the vibrant calendar of events during the festive season.
