The British electronica star will perform at Dubai Opera in March 2023.
Ballet performances, larger-than-life musicals, Chinese New Year celebrations – Dubai Opera is looking at an incredibly diverse programme in the year ahead, one that includes Simon Green.
The name may not ring a bell, but his moniker ‘Bonobo’ will, considering he’s one of the biggest acts in dance music today. The UK-based electronica star will take to the stage on 11 March for an electrifying performance that will showcase his new Fragments album, an LP dedicated to nature and movement.
For the uninitiated, Bonobo already boasts seven Grammy nominations, having played huge arenas – he has sold out London’s Alexandra Palace three times and performed at both Glastonbury and Coachella. More recently, his 2017 album Migration debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Dance/Electronic Albums chart.
Bonobo has worked with the likes of Erykah Badu, Ólafur Arnalds and Jon Hopkins, while proving a master remixer for artists such as Michael Kiwanuka, Gorillaz, George Fitzgerald and London Grammar. Fragments is Bonobo’s seventh studio album, one that has been described as “louder and more upbeat” than his previous efforts – Black Sands and Days to Come included – translating to an epic performance at Dubai Opera next year.
