With live performances making a significant return to the capital, another huge international talent has just been announced.
R&B songstress Kehlani joins the likes of WizKid, Khalid, Stormzy and Foo Fighters with a live performance in the UAE capital this December.
Kehlani’s first performance in Abu Dhabi sees her headline VidCon 2021 on Saturday, 4 December 2021. The announcement was made on VidCon Abu Dhabi’s official Instagram account, where there is also a limited time, buy one get one free offer on tickets.
Kehlani rose to fame in 2014 with her critically acclaimed mixtape ‘Cloud 9′ before releasing her debut studio album ‘SweetSexySavage’ in 2016. She has since collaborated with Eminem, Cardi B, Justin Bieber, Calvin Harris, Charlie Puth, Zayn Malik and Disclosure.
Her second studio album, ‘It Was Good Until It Wasn’t’, released at the height of the coronavirus pandemic, offered sultry escapism during the lockdown and spawned the hit singles’ Toxic’, ‘Everybody Business’, ‘F&MU’ and ‘Can I.’
Kehlani’s performance in Abu Dhabi comes hot on the heels of her new single ‘Altar‘ and the impending release of her third studio album ‘Blue Water Road.’
VidCon makes its Abu Dhabi debut at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre, where the world’s leading digital creators, platform innovators, and their fans converge in one place. It’s the magic of digital media in real life and a place where you can expect panel discussions from Salama Mohamed and a keynote conversation with Supercar Blondie.
Tickets start at AED 130 and include the full day of activities, panel talks and the concert. You can also purchase a Community Track ticket for AED 270, which gets you access to VidCon across the entire weekend.
