Luxury car maker chooses Dubai Solar Park and acclaimed DJ for its new global marketing campaign shoot.
If you’re a motoring enthusiast, you can likely expect to see much more of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Park in Dubai over the next few months. That’s because the huge 127 square kilometre park was chosen as the backdrop for a major new Porsche campaign, and it will feature in global marketing activities over the coming month.
The solar park, which is the largest single-site solar project in existence anywhere in the world, was chosen as the backdrop for the German carmaker’s shoot with David Guetta, the electric dance DJ with more than 30 billion streams on Spotify alone.

David’s Future Rave Remix of his hittrack‘Titanium’ provides the soundtrack to the slick production, which also featureshigh-speed performance car sequences and striking visuals. The two stars of the show are Porsche’s new EV models; the second generation Macan Turbo SUV which boasts a top speed of 260 km/h and the ultra-slick, racetrack-ready Taycan Turbo GT, which offers drivers a peak power output of more than 1,100 hp.
The DJ said, “This collaboration is one of those things you dream of as a kid. Porsche has always stood for emotion, performance, and pushing the limits, just like my music. It’s about evolution while staying true to your roots and being part of this project has truly inspired me.”

His Excellency Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD and CEO of Dubai Electricity & Water Authority (DEWA) welcomed the chance to showcase the Dubai’s ongoing commitment to sustainability and innovation commenting, “Hosting this extraordinary collaboration with Porsche, David Guetta, and the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism (DET) underscores the limitless potential of clean energy in shaping the future.”
His Excellency Issam Kazim, CEO of the Dubai Corporation for Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DCTCM) added,“Dubai continues to take the lead as a city of inspiration and innovation, and we are honoured to partner with Porsche on this global campaign for its new electric vehicles.”
The solar park is expected to provide clean energy to two million homes in Dubai by 2030.
