Beyoncé ends her four-year hiatus from live performances to headline the much-awaited opening of Atlantis The Royal on Saturday, 21 January. The invite-only event is already creating buzz as the most significant musical event of 2023.
The mega resort is bringing the biggest party in Dubai’s event calendar for its launch, with a one-hour show by Queen Bey herself, followed by an after-party with sets from Swedish House Mafia, and ending in fireworks on the beach.
The lucky invitees are sure to have more star-struck moments on the opening night with the likes of Jay-Z, Kendall Jenner and Chef Matsuhisa Nobu expected to attend the exclusive event.
The concert is only one of the highlights in a packed itinerary for the full “Grand Reveal” weekend, which includes dining previews at the resort’s restaurants that have celebrity chefs Heston Blumenthal, José Andrés, Ariana Bundy, Gastón Acurio and Costa Spiliadis at the helm.
We knew the opening of Atlantis The Royal was going to make waves, but they have gone beyond all expectations and made history with Queen Bey’s return to the stage. This will be her first live show since the Global Citizen Festival in Johannesburg in December 2018, so it will also be one of the first times that fans can enjoy front-row seats to songs from her hugely popular new album Renaissance.
The world’s most popular singer is said to have signed the deal for a whopping USD 24 million (a very well spent AED 88.5 million, if you ask us).
Bookings for Atlantis The Royal will be available from March, giving the wider public access to the luxury six-tower, 43-storey resort, which features a tank of 2,000 jellyfish that serves as a centrepiece of the lobby bar, and a rooftop infinity pool on the 22nd floor that is suspended 90 meters above ground level.
