Hailing from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, the American group Boyz II Men is best known for its smooth vocals, romantic ballads, and acappella harmonies. Now, one of the best-selling R&B groups of all time will take to the stage in Dubai for a special performance at Coca-Cola Arena on Sunday, 28 April.
Wanya Morris, Shawn Stockman, Nathan Morris, and Michael McCary rose to fame in the early 1990s after being discovered by New Edition member Michael Bivins. The group released their debut album Cooleyhighharmony in 1991, which spawned four Billboard Hot 100 #1 singles: “End of the Road,” “I’ll Make Love To You,” “It’s So Hard to Say Goodbye to Yesterday.” and “Motownphilly.”
Their smooth vocals and romantic lyrics resonated with audiences worldwide, propelling them to become one of the best-selling R&B groups of all time. They continued to dominate the charts throughout the 1990s with hits like “A Song for Mama,” “I Did It All (Love Song for a Cheater),” and “Water Runs Dry.”
Having sold over 60 million albums worldwide, Boyz II Men have been inducted into the Vocal Group Hall of Fame and received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The performance on 28 April at Coca-Cola Arena marks their second concert in the UAE. They last performed in the Emirate in December 2019.
