Take That’s return to the capital is confirmed

The British pop icons will perform at Etihad Park as part of their upcoming This Life on Tour concert tour on 25 October.

It’s only March, but Take That is back on our radars already. The Britpop group performed at SailGP in Abu Dhabi back in January, marking the first time that live music entertainment was paired with racing action at the Mubadala Abu Dhabi Sail Grand Prix. Now, UAE-based concert promoter MAC Global has joined forces with Miral and the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi to bring Gary Barlow, Mark Owen and Howard Donald back to our shores on 25 October.

The trio is set to take the stage at Etihad Park as part of their upcoming This Life on Tour concert tour that kicks off in England on 13 April. “We are so looking forward to coming back to the United Arab Emirates later this year,” they say. “It’s going to be great to see everyone again and perform the songs from our new album This Life, as well as all the favourites, and a few surprises! We can’t wait. See you all soon.”

Formed in 1990, Take That sold more records than any other English group since The Beatles, becoming the absolute biggest British boyband of everyone’s favourite decade. The band has reached the #1 spot on the Official UK Albums Chart a total of nine times, and topped the Official UK Singles Chart 12 times. And for those looking to take a trip down memory lane, some of its greatest hits include “Pray”, “Sure”, “Back for Good”, “Never Forget”, and “Greatest Day”. 

Alongside Take That’s stunning chart success and sales of over 45 million records worldwide, it is also renowned for its incredible live shows, something that Abu Dhabi audiences can certainly attest to. It also holds the record for the most performances at London’s O2 with 34 headline shows. 2011’s Progress tour broke box office records by selling over 1.1 million tickets in less than 24 hours and, in 2019, the band celebrated its 30th anniversary with the 38 date sell-out Odyssey tour, which saw them play to 29 arenas and nine stadiums. Starting at AED 299, tickets to the upcoming show in Abu Dhabi are now on sale via Etihad Arena, Platinumlist, and Ticketmaster.
