To celebrate Emirati Women’s Day, The Abu Dhabi EDITION is collaborating with recognised Emirati artist Aisha Al Ali, also known as Yoshi. This unique partnership showcases the hotel’s commitment to championing creative talents in the local art community.
The hotel is renowned for creating personalised experiences for guests and is constantly seeking out collaborations which resonate with the city’s vibrant spirit and rich cultural heritage. This latest partnership with Yoshi is a tribute to the important contributions of Emirati women to the United Arab Emirates.

As part of the initiative, Yoshi will create limited-edition plantable, seed bookmarks for guests on 28 August, with the powerful message of growth and collaboration. Designed to showcase the strength and grace of Emirati women, it features a self-portrait and a palm tree, a powerful symbol of Emirati heritage. Yoshi is the founder of Al Reeshah Studio, an independent artist-run space in Abu Dhabi and her practice covers painting, pottery, and performance.
Emirati Women’s Day is an annual occasion, created to empower and support the women of the Emirates and celebrate the major progress the region has made in terms of gender equality. It highlights the importance of Emirati women in the growth of the UAE.
