The next edition of Break the Block will take place on 1 February at Expo City Dubai.
A night of counterculture and creative experimentation is in the works as Break the Block returns to the city on 1 February. Presented by Brag in collaboration with Expo City, the block party will once again set an electrifying tone and bring a unique sound to the remarkable Al Wasl Plaza at Expo City Dubai. And true to its name, it’s a high-energy celebration of music, dance, and urban culture, making this a night out that you don’t want to miss.
As for what’s on the roster? A stellar line-up of DJs and independent musicians, for starters — partygoers can discover fresh sounds at the new stage at this year’s edition. The iconic Al Wasl PlaFza will take centre stage, igniting with a jaw-dropping fusion of cutting-edge light shows and immersive animations that transform the dome into a pulsating visual phenomenon. With vibrant colours and dynamic patterns cascading across the world’s largest interactive immersive dome, every beat of the music will sync seamlessly with the visuals, creating a fully immersive and electrifying experience accented with bars and bites.
Elevating the event is headliner Bonobo, the British maestro of electronic music who has redefined the genre with his signature blend of intricate beats and live instrumentation. Celebrating a string of chart-topping hits like “Kong” and “Cirrus” under record label Ninja Tune, he is set to deliver an unforgettable sonic experience.
Adding to the line-up are two Soulection heavyweights guaranteed to keep the vibe alive, starting with JAEL, the Dutch musician behind R&B-infused beats like “Nancy Junglist”. Adding her magic, Rosey Gold blends South African-inspired rhythms with genre-defying flair, promising a set as dynamic and fresh as her collaborations. Part platform, part community, Soulection is all about boundary-pushing artists and connecting fans with the freshest sounds around, and both artists perfectly embody this vision.
