The 2023 F1 season will reach its climax in the UAE capital, with plans to make this year’s race weekend the most exciting yet.
Speaking at the launch event for the 15th Formula One Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix on Thursday 2 February, Saif Al Noaimi, chief executive officer of Abu Dhabi Motorsports Management said: “Tonight we launch the tickets sale and I urge fans to purchase them early and not to miss out, 2022 was an unprecedented year. We had over 140,000 attendance with over 70 per cent arrivals from abroad during that week.”
This year’s F1 season is set to be the biggest yet with 23 races – including new races in Las Vegas and Qatar – taking the total number of races in the region to four. The first-ever Qatar race follows Bahrain on Sunday, 5 March and Saudi Arabia on Sunday, 19 March.
“Kicking off the season in a few weeks in Bahrain, we are hoping to see some close competition between the teams competing for the championship.” Al Noaimi said.
With Qatar joining the Grand Prix circuit it’s clear there is a growing interest in the sport within the region and this will only add to the excitement and interest for the finale in Abu Dhabi on 26 November.
Like last year, the event is expected to sell out ahead of time, so don’t miss out and purchase your tickets on abudhabigp.com. There is currently an early bird offer of a 20 per cent discount on certain categories.
