Nigerian singer and songwriter Tiwa Savage will headline the ‘Global Titans Weigh-in Concert’ on 12 November. The Queen of Afrobeats will perform live at Coca-Cola Arena following the weigh-in of heavy hitters Floyd’ Money’ Mayweather and YouTube sensation Deji ahead of their epic ‘Global Titans Fight Night‘ showdown the following night.
Tiwa Savage’s energy and mastery of African sounds have pushed her to the top of her genre and the music charts, making her one of the most notable African artists in the music industry.
Beginning her music career as a vocalist for George Michael and Mary J. Blige. Savage graduated from Berklee College of Music before participating in the UK edition of The X Factor and signing with Sony/ATV Music Publishing in 2009. Inspired by the rapid growth of the Nigerian music industry, she moved back to Nigeria and signed with Marvin Records in 2012. In November 2018, Savage won Best African Act at the MTV Europe Music Awards, becoming the first woman to win the category. In July 2019, Savage was featured on “Keys to the Kingdom”, a track she co-wrote for Beyoncé’s soundtrack album The Lion King: The Gift.
Global TItans will see heavy hitters from the boxing world and superstar entertainers meet to create an unforgettable spectacle that will be broadcast to millions worldwide. The event will also launch the Global Titans Boxing Academy and foundation established in 2023 to provide opportunities for the next generation of boxers belonging to underprivileged communities.
