Following his hour-long set at Glastonbury 2023, the English singer-songwriter will perform in Dubai on Friday, 24 May.
It was an extraordinary five days at Glastonbury 2023. Elton John’s festival debut was also meant to be his last ever performance in the UK. Arctic Monkeys pulled off a career-spanning set that featured a staggering 21 songs. Yusuf/Cat Stevens balanced old and new songs, subduing audiences with his gentle melodies and heartfelt lyrics. And amidst it all was a young Tom Grennan, who gushed about going from festivalgoer to performer in a matter of years.
Hailing from Bedford in the UK, the singer-songwriter is now set to perform in Dubai this summer, taking the stage at The Agenda on 24 May, as announced by MAC Global. For context, the UAE-based concert promoter has brought some of the biggest names in entertainment to the Middle East over the past nine years — Ed Sheeran, Drake, Lewis Capaldi, Louis Tomlinson, Michael Bublé and Sia included.
Grennan first rose to fame via his appearance as a guest vocalist on the track “All Goes Wrong” by electronic music duo Chase & Status in 2016. Two years later, he truly skyrocketed to stardom with his platinum-selling debut album Lighting Matches, which was one of the best-selling debut albums of the year and hit the Top 5 on the UK Albums Chart. His critically acclaimed UK #1 and BRIT gold-certified album Evering Road features platinum-selling anthems “Little Bit of Love” and a special edition track entitled “By Your Side”, both of which scored in the top three most played songs of 2021.
His latest album What Ifs & Maybes dominated the UK Albums Chart, marking the artist’s second consecutive #1 success and earning him his third BRIT Award nomination. The album merges funk, rock, pop, soul, gospel and more, making these tracks his most vibrant songs to date. Now, having performed at Glastonbury and The O2 arena in the UK, Grennan’s upcoming live show in Dubai is expected to be nothing short of electrifying.
With three studio albums, three EPs, 26 singles, and 21 music videos, radio airplay domination, and memorable live performances, he’s one of the most exciting talents in contemporary music, hands down. Tickets are now on sale via Platinumlist, Ticketsfy, and Virgin Megastore, with prices starting at AED 185. Doors will open at 8pm.
