The weekend also includes an immersive Footloose experience.
The throwback event of the year has announced its line-up of nostalgic movies for the free community event taking over Yas Island on 5 and 6 November.
The movie line-up is one to please the whole family, from the young to the young at heart. A screening of Disney’s animated classic The Lion King at 5:30 pm will kick off the excitement on day one. Afterwards, you can stick around to see if Kevin Bacon can overturn his small town’s ban on dancing in Footloose at 7:30pm. To top off the day, hang onto your hats as Harrison Ford seeks the Ark of the Covenant in Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark at 9:30 pm.
The excitement doesn’t end there, as day two promises another slew of timeless classics. Start the journey under the sea with Ariel and Sebastian in The Little Mermaid at 5:30 pm. Then, see if Doc and Marty can solve their time travelling woes in Back to the Future at 7:30 pm before watching Bruce Willis play John McClane in the classic action thriller, Die Hard at 9:30 pm.
The event also features an immersive Footloose experience. Prepare for an all-singing and all-dancing evening of live performers on stage at the picturesque Yas Links Golf Club, Yas Island.
In addition to the variety of superb films, the festival will play classic 80s and 90s music, and visitors will also be given a chance to turn back the clock on their outfits with a makeover booth. Yas Movies In The Park will also be equipped with arcade machines, retro videogames, neon pool tables, pinball machines, and air hockey tables.
