Indian R&B pioneer Jay Sean will be joined by peers – Juggy D, Manj Musik and Raghav – for a one-night-only concert this September.
Widely regarded as forerunners of blending Punjabi beats with R&B and Hip-Hop in the noughties, Jay Sean is set to share the stage with fellow pioneers – Juggy D, Manj Musik and Raghav – at Coca-Cola Arena on Saturday, September 9. The four artists come together for the first time in Dubai to bring a host of iconic throwback hits like Down, Do You Remember, and Ride It.
Jay Sean was the first Asian artist to have a Billboard No.1 single. The award-winning singer, songwriter, and producer has supported acts such as Pitbull, Alicia Keys, and Justin Timberlake.
Joining him is Juggy D, who came to be known as one of the most influential Punjabi artists in British history after featuring on Rishi Rich’s album The Project, alongside Jay Sean on Push It Up (Aaja Kurieh). He co-hosted The Rishi Rich Project radio show on London’s Kiss 100, before he went on to feature on tracks by Britney Spears, Ricky Martin, Craig David, and Mary J Blige.
Bringing the beats, quite literally, is British-Indian artist Manj Musik, whose RDB (Rhythm, Dhol, Bass) was behind songs such as We Doin It and Daddy Da Cash.
And if this portfolio was not enough, the show will also feature Canadian singer Raghav, of Angel Eyes fame, who sold more than 1.5 million copies of his debut album Storyteller in 2003, leading to a MOBO Award and four UK top singles. He last performed in Dubai in 2014 and fans can expect an energetic performance from the Desperado hit maker.
Tickets, starting from AED 195, are on sale now on PlatinumList and Coca-Cola Arena websites. All ages are welcome to attend the concert, with doors opening at 7pm and the show expected to start at 8pm.
