The British megastar will headline Abu Dhabi’s newest music festival in April.
It’s Abu Dhabi’s turn to hold on to the afterglow — of an emotionally charged Ed Sheeran performance, that is. The English singer-songwriter, who performed at The Sevens Stadium in Dubai back in January as part of his Mathematics Tour, will headline the inaugural OffLimits music festival on 26 April. A brand new edition to the capital’s thriving entertainment scene, it’s dubbed the country’s first open-format festival and makes its highly anticipated debut on Yas Island.
This genre-blending event promises to redefine the music scene, bringing together Sheeran and a diverse line-up of over 20 international and regional artists for a day of electrifying performances and unexpected collaborations. The action is set to take place across two stages designed by Florian Wieder, who designed the pop-up arena for Adele’s recent summer residency in Munich, Germany.
Going beyond music, OffLimits will immerse attendees in cutting-edge art installations, mesmerising visuals, and vibrant cultural experiences — all in the name of celebrating creativity and community. You can sign up now to receive an exclusive email with a special access link before or during the 48-hour pre-sale window, beginning 6 December at 11am GST via Platinumlist. Any tickets left after the pre-sale will go on general sale the following day at 11am GST.
Sheeran, who’s expected to perform a full-length set, in Abu Dhabi, is beloved by fans for his high-energy live concerts and unforgettable fan interactions (he once brought a Sheerio in Berlin on stage after noticing her harmonising with him). Come April, you can expect to catch a live rendition of chart-topping hits such as “Shape of You” and “Thinking Out Loud”. OffLimits will kick off at 2pm and is expected to run well into the night. More details on the line-up are expected in the coming months, so watch this space.
