The third edition of Abu Dhabi Comedy Season will feature Morgan Jay, Russell Peters, Mo Amer and Maz Jobrani, with more performances still to be announced.
Abu Dhabi Comedy Season will return this October for its third edition, bringing another line up of international comedians to Etihad Arena on Yas Island.
Organised by Live Nation Middle East in partnership with the Department of Culture and Tourism Abu Dhabi and Miral, this year’s programme already includes Morgan Jay, Russell Peters, Mo Amer and Maz Jobrani, with organisers confirming that more acts will be announced in the coming months.
The season opens on 11 October with Morgan Jay, the Los Angeles based comedian and musician known for blending stand up, crowd interaction and live music. He first gained international attention after appearing on NBC’s Bring the Funny and has since built a large online following through his improvised performances.
Russell Peters will take to the stage on 25 October. One of the world’s most recognisable stand up comedians, Peters is known for his observational comedy and has performed to sold out audiences across North America, Europe and Asia during his career.
November will see two back to back performances, beginning with Mo Amer on 6 November. The Palestinian American comedian and creator of the award winning Netflix series Mo draws on his own experiences of immigration, identity and family life in his stand up.
The following evening, 7 November, Iranian American comedian Maz Jobrani will perform. Jobrani has spent more than two decades touring internationally, with comedy centred around culture, family life and the experiences of growing up between different worlds.
Tickets for Morgan Jay and Russell Peters are already on sale. Mastercard cardholders will have access to a presale for the newly announced Mo Amer and Maz Jobrani shows from 27 July, followed by a Live Nation presale on 28 July. General ticket sales begin on 29 July at 12pm GST.
