The Dubai Comedy Festival’s side-splitting headliners feature international names and favourite regional comedians.
Back for a fifth year with a promise to be bigger and bolder than ever before, the Dubai Comedy Festival is set to bring even more laughs in 2025 with 11 punchline packed days at venues across the city.
As the build-up to the October festival gets underway, organisers have revealed a star-studded list of names plucked from stand-up stages and favourite TV shows both here in the UAE and further afield.
The seven headline acts already confirmed include American comedian, actor and podcaster, Tom Segura. Tom is best known for his Netflix specials and was a firm audience favourite in Dubai last year. He’ll open the festival at Coca-Cola Arena on 02 October.
The Persian Powerhouse, Omid Djalili will also take star billing and will take to the stage at Dubai Opera on 05 October. A TV presenter and film star as well as accomplished comic, this British comedian is well known for his commentary on current world events.
Actor, comedian and podcaster Akaash Singh will join Omid on 05 October and has appeared on Netflix and HBO but is now best known for his cult podcast, Flagrant.
Previous guests may remember another headliner, John Achkar from his 2023 Dubai Comedy Festival performance. He will be back to elicit the giggles again (in Arabic) on 11 October on stage at Dubai Opera.
Other headliners include the multi-talented Joanne McNally – she took the 2023 event by storm with fellow Irish star, Vogue Williams – and LA comedian and prime time TV favourite, Morgan Jay. They’ll be joined by Comedy Central India’s Best Stand-Up Comedian winner and 2024 headliner, Zakir Khan.
