Christopher Judge and Alan Quah confirmed for the region’s biggest pop culture event.
Middle East Film & Comic Con (MEFCC) will return to Abu Dhabi from 24 to 26 April 2026. The three-day event will be held at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC), with celebrity appearances, anime showcases, gaming zones and cosplay competitions on the schedule.
The first guest confirmed for MEFCC 2026 is American actor Christopher Judge, best known for voicing Kratos in God of War and Teal’c in Stargate SG-1. Judge will appear on 25 and 26 April and is expected to take part in fan meet-and-greets, photo ops and Q&A sessions.
Also confirmed is Alan Quah, a Malaysian comic book artist who has worked with both Marvel and DC Comics. His cover art credits include Wolverine, Nightwing, Green Lantern and The Marvels.
MEFCC first launched in 2012 and made its Abu Dhabi debut in 2022. Over 35,000 people are expected to attend the 2026 edition, which will include celebrity panels, esports tournaments, artist exhibitions, outdoor entertainment and dedicated areas for anime fans.
It was announced last year that the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi and Informa Connect had extended their partnership to host Middle East Film & Comic Con (MEFCC) in the capital until 2027. The renewed agreement secures Abu Dhabi as the long-term home of the region’s biggest pop culture event.
General admission passes are now available starting at AED 160. A three-day pass costs AED 390, while VIP packages start from AED 1,300.
For cosplay enthusiasts, registration for the 2026 competition is open. The winner will represent the UAE at the World Cosplay Summit Finals in Japan.
