Inspired by the wonders of the galaxy, the ‘Signature Cocktail’ menu showcases 12 unique serves – each an ode to a celestial being or constellation.
Stepping through the velvet curtain at the entrance to Galaxy Bar, guests are transported into the cocktail universe. The sumptuous interior is a temple to Athenian culture, with many design tropes that allude to the Parthenon: the sculpted bar, the terrazzo floor and the stars on the ceiling that represent the Athenian night sky.
The highly anticipated launch follows hot on the heels of the team’s historic win at the World’s 50 Best Bars Awards, where they received the coveted Campari One to Watch Award 2020 – a first for a venue in the Middle East.
The award-winning team aims to take guests on an unforgettable journey with the new selection of hand-crafted spirits and aromatic blends. Kyrstian Hordejuk, Group Beverage Manager of Tashas Group, commented, “The Galaxy Bar New Signature Cocktails menu is a journey through the celestial sphere and the night skies of Greece that have inspired the glittering stars of our interior. We have spent over a year perfecting each of the 12 cocktails, all of which have been conceptualised with truly unique flavour combinations. The cocktail names refer to the constellations described in Greek mythology… We are thrilled to launch this collection of drinks that are very close to our hearts.”
Highlight serves include the Titan of the Sun featuring Verjuice Cordial, Mountain Tea Bitters and Torres Moscato Soda. “The radiant crown of the solar system, the centre of our universe. The sun has burst the sky! Incandescent, effervescent. From on high, the Sun Titan dazzles with his wand of fire.”
Mysteries of the Universe features roasted pineapple juice, lemon juice, Sichuan Agave Syrup and Angostura Bitters. “A mysterious, magical blend that transforms earthiness to pure gold.”
The Centaurus ingredients include Angostura bitters and Melba toast. “Hot-blooded, passionate, wild… I am a centaur of desire, fallen between man and beast.”
To celebrate the launch of the Signature Cocktail menu, Galaxy Bar will be commissioning a limited-edition recipe book to showcase the 12 stunning cocktails. The luxurious leather-bound gold book features embossed pages delicately adorned with gold leaf. There will be only 36 copies of the book printed – representing the 36 months of Galaxy Bar’s existence – to be gifted to an exclusive list of VIP and regular guests.
