With temperatures dipping, now’s the time to let this convivial eatery whisk you away to the Mediterranean.
While most of the world is reminiscing about the breezy, bygone days of summer, our season of lingering outdoors over small plates and Aperol Spritzes is just beginning — and Alba Terrace is the place to do it. Bringing home the essence of the Mediterranean, this elegant eatery at The Abu Dhabi EDITION has unveiled a new array of dishes for the occasion, each carefully designed to both suit the weather as well as highlight the beauty of locally sourced produce and artisanal ingredients. And with Chef de Cuisine Alex Tiscovschii at the helm, diners can expect the perfect balance between textures and flavours in each dish.
As for some of the culinary masterpieces on the menu? There’s a Homemade Ricotta and Kale Salad to start with. The former is elevated with the help of a smoked tomato dressing and peppery rocket leaves, while the latter features premium ingredients against a backdrop of leafy greens — date dressing, pecan brittle, and a green apple and ginger emulsion included. And because cooler temperatures call for winter warmers such as tender beef and hearty pasta, the signature Alba Ravioli – with its moreish filling of ricotta and wine-braised beef cheek – is sure to hit the spot.
Meanwhile, Pescatarians can opt for the Roasted Hammour served with artichoke barigoule, orange, dill oil, and saffron rouille. Also new to the menu is the Black Sesame Semifreddo, in which the rich and nutty flavour of black sesame seeds is delicately offset by a sesame praline tuile.
As day turns to night, Alba’s lush outdoor terrace is (still) where it’s at when it comes to al fresco dining in the capital. Whether you choose the cozy seating areas under pavilions or place yourself next to the reflection pool, this is a setting reminiscent of the ease and elegance of Italian summers. Alba Terrace is open daily from 12:30pm to 4pm for lunch, and 5pm to 11 pm for dinner.
