Savour a traditional Palestinian treat from the SLS Privilege rooftop at sundown.
Palestinian chef Omar Odali will bring his culinary heritage to the luxurious rooftop enclave of the Privilege sky bar at SLS Dubai throughout the holy month.
The collaboration will see chef Omar’s celebrated Knafeh cooked in the traditional style over hot charcoal on the 75th floor of the SLS Dubai hotel. Guests are invited to view the preparation firsthand, before enjoying the traditional sweet pastry while drinking in the breathtaking Dubai skyline.
Thought to date back to Ramadan celebrations in the 10th century, Knafeh features warm, salted cheese encased in a crispy pastry and soaked in a sweet honey syrup. While it’s served throughout the Middle East, Chef Omar has perfected the art of Knafeh and has made the dish his signature creation.
In addition to the immersive rooftop dining experience, guests at the SLS Dubai will also be able to sample the Chef Omar’s Knafeh at the hotel’s coffee shop, EllaMia and enjoy it as part of the special iftar menu at the Fi’lia restaurant.
A serving of Knafeh is priced at AED 65 and is available from 01 March.
