NETTE is a new neighbourhood restaurant from the team behind Cassette has opened in Al Quoz.
Set within MATCHA Club, Al Quoz’s boutique padel club, NETTE is a new restaurant that fuses timeless French dining with the playful flavours of Japan.
NETTE’s alluring yet welcoming design has been purposely tailored to mesh with the padel club’s aesthetic while telling its own story. Oozing tranquillity, guests can expect a casual social environment, peppered with greenery and flanked by floor to ceiling glass windows on either side. Inside the restaurant sits the open coffee bar featuring coffee served from Three Roasters Coffee, a roastery located a stone’s throw away from the restaurant. Outside lies a shaded courtyard with seating for up to 43 guests.
Inspired by padel tennis, the geometric design is influenced by the net, the court and the game itself. Mixed with hues of terracotta, shades of green and natural tones, habitual materials have been used as much as possible to contrast the industrial feel of the surrounding area.
From a quick lunch after a mid-morning yoga class or well-earned dinner following a game of padel to a family breakfast on the weekend, NETTE’s dishes are designed to be as delicious as they are nourishing.
Chef Shaunne Cordier’s thoughtful menu celebrates the best of both French and Japanese cuisine and has been created with sharing in mind. Breakfast offers sweet and savoury options ranging from the Honey Matcha Bowl to the Egg Sando Sandwich. NETTE also features a range of nutritious salads plus unique sandwiches, including the Miso Braised Beef French Dip Sandwich and the Avocado and Seaweed Salad Sandwich. Desserts come in the form of Vegan Matcha and Chocolate Eclairs, Japanese souffle Crème Brûlée Buttermilk Pancakes and French toast served with matcha mascarpone, yuzu curd and toasted pecan.
NETTE looks set to become a new hangout in the city’s hippest neighbourhood.
