Anantara Santorini Abu Dhabi Retreat provides guests with a truly personalised experience.
Minor Hotels has announced the opening of an exclusive luxury resort in the United Arab Emirates. The Anantara Santorini Abu Dhabi Retreat, boasting just 22 keys, is set to unveil its splendour in the fourth quarter of 2023. This unique boutique getaway will also offer the option for exclusive buy-outs, providing guests with a truly personalised experience.
Situated in the pristine coastal enclave of Ghantoot, halfway between the cities of Dubai and Abu Dhabi, this sophisticated addition to Anantara’s Middle East portfolio showcases uninterrupted views of the Arabian Gulf. The boutique property is conveniently located a 25-minute drive from Dubai’s Al Maktoum International Airport and just a 35-minute drive from Abu Dhabi International Airport.

Inspired by the architecture of its namesake island, Anantara Santorini Abu Dhabi Retreat features low-lying, whitewashed buildings that seamlessly blend with the natural landscape. These structures house a collection of ultra-private accommodations, offering spacious interiors complemented by sun-drenched terraces and breathtaking sea views. The interiors are adorned with refined decor, featuring soft, neutral furnishings that extend throughout the resort.
Guests at Anantara Santorini Abu Dhabi Retreat will discover tranquillity on the resort’s private beach and indulge in the expansive outdoor pool overlooking the Gulf. An indoor cinema offers private screenings on demand, complete with the option of late-night movies accompanied by custom gourmet cuisine. Bespoke spa treatments can be enjoyed in private beachside cabanas, and round-the-clock butler service ensures that guests’ every need is met.

Culinary enthusiasts will relish the diverse dining experiences at Anantara Santorini Abu Dhabi Retreat. An elegant restaurant pays homage to the region’s heritage, showcasing local ingredients and spices. Additionally, an ocean-side restaurant, in keeping with the property’s theme, serves Greek delicacies. Evenings come alive at the bar, where a wide selection of beverages and creative cocktails is served until late, with a DJ creating the perfect ambience.
Dillip Rajakarier, Group CEO of Minor International and CEO of Minor Hotels, expressed his enthusiasm, stating, “This will be an exciting new addition to our luxury portfolio of properties across the United Arab Emirates. With a fantastic location equidistant between Abu Dhabi and Dubai, this ultra-private property offers exceptional facilities for full buy-outs, especially those seeking an intimate boutique experience unlike anywhere else in the UAE.”

With this upcoming launch in the United Arab Emirates, Minor Hotels continues its expansion in the Middle East, currently operating eight Anantara hotels and resorts in the UAE, with a total of 11 in the region.
