There’s a new reason to visit Bluewaters Island (and it’s not Ain Dubai).
While much of the furore surrounding Bluewaters Islands in recent weeks has revolved around the opening of Madame Tussauds Dubai and the world’s tallest observation wheel, Ain Dubai. Let’s not forget that Bluewaters has also made a name for itself as home to several outstanding restaurants.
The latest arrival on the picturesque island overlooking the waters of the Arabian Gulf is SHI. A luxurious restaurant and lounge specialising in authentic yet innovative Chinese cuisine is drawing crowds from all over Dubai, searching for steaming dim sum baskets and Peking duck.
Under the watchful eye of chef Li Yuan Hui, who has previously worked at Hakkasan in both Mumbai and Doha, SHI is the first restaurant on the island to plate gourmet Chinese cuisine. With an exciting menu that strives to remain unequivocally authentic, highlights include signature rice stone pots, soups, noodles, Taiwanese smoked sanpei chicken, and various dim sums and dumplings.
SHI’s convenient location and stunning sea-facing terrace encourage diners to enjoy spectacular views of the JBR skyline while dining al fresco. Inside, guests can enjoy a lavish sit-down dinner at ground level or have a taste of Chinese fine dining at the upstairs lounge, accompanied by a DJ and live violinist.
SHI is Dubai’s newest ‘must-visit’ culinary hotspot, offering a sophisticated atmosphere and incredible culinary experiences reminiscent of upscale venues in Hong Kong or Shanghai.
