DIFC’s newest lounge and nightclub has finally lifted its velvet curtains, inviting guests to explore its glamorous interiors, curated cocktails and stellar musical offering. Say hello to LY-LA.
Tucked away behind a concealed door below Middle Eastern restaurant Alaya, LY-LA transports guests into a hedonistic haven. The hidden sanctum offers intricately designed Arabesque interiors, plush furnishings, and gilded fixtures that exude opulence. A modern Art Deco bar comes to life with radiating lights and a grand Bedouin-inspired ceiling, offering an immersion into the region’s culture. LY-LA blends Middle Eastern nostalgia with contemporary expressionist art, with pieces by Shanghai-based art collective Liu Dao displayed throughout the venue.
The cocktail menu aims to captivate the senses as it explores the region’s rich flavours and culture. An ode to the Middle East, the beverage menu features twists on classics, such as Ayla (Vermouth with Angostura, Mezcal, and Campari, infused with local spices and herbs), Najma (Tequila Reposado, fresh citrus, finished with watermelon and lemongrass), Sahara Ruh (Aperol and Grenadine mixed with Gin, strawberry, blackberry, and topped with Prosecco), and Qahwa, (dark rum infused with vanilla, Kahlua, Campari, chocolate bitter, and coffee beans).
LY-LA amplifies the nightlife experience with a carefully curated music selection that includes afro, melodic and organic house music whilst embracing the sounds of Middle Eastern instruments. Taking the reins as LY-LA’s resident DJ, Dim Tayllor takes revellers on a euphoric journey influenced by the region and beyond.
