Abu Dhabi, get your dancing shoes on because W Abu Dhabi – Yas Island have announced its first edition of HYPE Festival.
HYPE Festival sets the tone for the year’s best music event, offering an unapologetic playground where design, fashion and music converge in the ultimate festival experience in the heart of Yas Island.
Set against the backdrop of the Yas Marina Circuit, the open-air Palm Garden offers an unrivalled outdoor space for this electronic music extravaganza. Kicking off the line-up, revellers can expect to dance along to local artists Alex Twin, Darko De Jan, Jixo & Danz, Xavi Emparan and Victhor.
Better known as The Mambo Brothers, Christian and Alan Anadon are the sons of the founders of Café Mambo Ibiza. The dynamic duo have spent years travelling the globe whilst appearing at the most prestigious clubs and festivals including Glastonbury, We Are FSTVL, Defected Croatia, Tinderbox and Tomorrowland, where the duo hosted their very own Café Mambo stage. More recently, they have been featured on the line-ups for some of the biggest brands in electronic music, such as Defected, Abode, Elrow and Pure Pacha. They will be the headline act at HYPE Festival.
DJ and music producer, Claptone will also perform at the event, backlit by iridescent light and wearing a dazzling golden mask with a long beak resembling an inverted horn. Claptone specialises in house and tech house and, in addition to playing in many clubs worldwide, has also been known to remix influential artists like Depeche Mode and Disclosure. Fans can look forward to the likes of “No Eyes“, “Stronger“, and “Just a Ghost” when this incredible DJ takes to the decks.
Also on the line-up is Joris Voorn, an artist who sits at the epicentre of the Dutch electronic music scene and has become one of the Netherlands’ most celebrated international touring acts. Having released four highly acclaimed albums, including ‘Future History‘ (2004) and ‘Four‘ (2019), his unique style has led to many high-profile remix requests, from Dua Lipa to White Cliffs. Weaving underground sounds with carefully placed moments of melody, Joris Voorn emerges from the world of underground techno into the stage at HYPE Festival.
Starting from 3pm, music lovers can expect DJs, glitzy holographic attributes and an array of activities throughout the day at this one-of-a-kind immersive event.
