The show takes place at Festival City Mall on Friday, 11 November.
Fans of Afrobeats take note. A huge concert is coming to The Bay at Festival City Mall, celebrating the best of Afrobeats, Amapiano and Reggae music with live performances from some of the genre’s biggest names.
Headlining the evening will be acclaimed Nigerian singer, songwriter, and record producer, Tems. The 27-year-old rose to prominence after she was featured on Wizkid’s 2020 single, “Essence“, and has since collaborated with the likes of Beyonce, Drake, Future and Justin Bieber. We expect to hear popular tracks, including “Try Me“, “Higher“, and “No Woman, No Cry” from the forthcoming Wakanda Forever movie soundtrack.
Popcaan will also be performing at the concert. The DJ and Vybz Kartel member is signed to Drake’s OVO Music label and has collaborated with the likes of Davido, Giggs, Pusha T and Wale.
Other notable performances will come from Asake, Master KG, TXC, Wande Coal, Kabza De Small, Mayorkun, Ayra Star, Serani, Reekado Banks, Kamo Mphela and Wayne Wonder. The latter saw success in 2002 with the smash hit single “No Letting Go.”
