But it’s not just the capital that gets to indulge in this guilty pleasure as Dubai Opera has just confirmed that it will host Grease The Musical.
The stage adaptation of the 1978 hit starring John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John will immerse audiences in the halls of Rydell High as the summer fling between Danny Zuko (the king of cool) and Sandy Olsson (the girl-next-door) takes an unexpected turn when they end up at the same high school. With a hip-shaking score featuring hits like “Summer Nights”, “Greased Lightnin’”, and “We Go Together,” an unforgettable night of music, dance, and excitement as this dazzling new production of one of the most iconic musicals of all time floods us with nostalgia.
