Sole DXB returns to Dubai Design District (d3) from 8 to 10 December.
Marking 50 years of hip-hop, Sole DXB, the highly anticipated festival celebrating youth and contemporary culture in the region, has revealed exciting additions to its musical lineup.
Among the artists joining Busta Rhymes, Big Daddy Kane, and Tobe Nwigwe at Sole DXB is the hip-hop lyricist Joey Bada$$, who will captivate the audience on the main stage on Sunday, 10 December. Lil Zey, the first Turkish artist to grace the festival’s stage and the inaugural female rapper in Turkey’s trap scene, will also perform on Sunday, 10 December. Both of these artists are presented by Les Benjamins, the Istanbul-based streetwear brand known for cultural storytelling through design.
On the same day, the Sudanese-born Soulja will take the stage. Fluent in a variety of genres and adept at rapping in Sudanese Arabic, Soulja’s magnetic personality has garnered a dedicated fanbase across the MENA region, leading to collaborations with some of the industry’s most talented artists.
Also joining the lineup on Sunday, 10 December, is Ma-Beyn, the Palestinian-Egyptian multidisciplinary creative. Her unique artistic perspective promises to add another layer of richness to the lineup, ensuring a dynamic and culturally resonant experience.
The incredible lineup of regional and international artists for this year’s Sole DXB also includes Big Daddy Kane, Busta Rhymes, Jadakiss, ODDISEE, Omar Offendum, Sampa the Great and Tobe Nwigwe.
This year also introduces UAE Mixtape, a showcase of the region’s rap artists, including A’Y, Maxi Zee, Moh Flow, Tac, Tayeb Santo, The Recipe, and is hosted by Mazzi of Def Jam.
