Themed ‘Broadway’, the epic celebration will ring in 2025 with fireworks, a lavish buffet spread, and plenty of Richie’s timeless classics.
If the past two years are any indication, we knew the upcoming New Year’s Eve Gala at Atlantis, The Palm would be nothing short of spectacular. Following in the footsteps of mega artists Kylie Minogue and Sting, Lionel Richie will headline the event, ringing in 2025 with the timeless tunes that have made him a household name worldwide — “Hello”, “Easy”, and “Brick House” included. No stranger to the UAE, the genre-defying musician has performed in both Dubai and Abu Dhabi, most recently at the Yasalam After-Race Concerts back in 2016.
True to the extravagant year-end festivities that are synonymous with Dubai, the New Year’s Eve Gala at Atlantis, The Palm is themed ‘Broadway’, translating to a black-tie affair featuring theatrical performances, dazzling costumes, and vibrant décor inspired by some of the world’s greatest shows. Set on a custom-built deck under the stars, overlooking Palm Jumeirah and the city skyline, the event will kick off at 6pm with a selection of canapés, welcome drinks, and roaming entertainment.

As guests move into the outdoor space, they will be greeted by a 30-piece live band along with free-flowing champagne and unlimited premium alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks to fuel the celebratory feel. Throughout the evening, guests will be able to savour a delicious buffet with something for everyone, ranging from lobster and caviar to sushi, complemented by live cooking stations and a dedicated selection of handcrafted desserts.
Richie on a grand piano, of course, will take centre stage in the lead-up to Atlantis, The Palm’s 2025 countdown, complete with fireworks. The global superstar boasts a discography of albums and singles that is second to none. With more than 125 million albums sold worldwide, an Oscar, a Golden Globe, and four Grammy Awards, he was rightfully inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2022. The following year, Richie concluded the first run of his acclaimed sold out 20-city Sing a Song All Night Long arena tour featuring Earth, Wind & Fire before continuing his longtime residency at Encore Theater in Las Vegas. Here at home, he’ll perform for one night only.

Guests at the new VIP Sky Suites will enjoy not only prime views as a result of its elevated setting, but also access to a private butler and dining experiences from Nobu, Hakkasan, La Mar by Gastón Acurio, and estiatorio Milos in addition to a selection of premium beverages like Dom Pérignon Rosé and Krug Brut. Little ones, meanwhile, will be catered to at Asateer Tent, where an enormous slide, a bouncy castle, an outdoor cinema, games stalls, arts and crafts, and more.
Gala package prices range from AED 6,500 to AED 20,000 per person, and are available now via Platinumlist.
