Our favourite comedians are coming to Abu Dhabi in March 2023.
Mo Amer’s popularity may have soared since the success of his recent comedy series Mo on Netflix, but we’ve been fans since his first appearance on the pilot episode of Hulu comedy series Ramy back in 2019. The Arab-American comedian, who stars alongside Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson in the upcoming D.C. film Black Adam, will be joining Maz Jobrani for an evening of stand-up comedy on 4 March, 2023 at Etihad Arena on Yas Island.
A pioneer in Middle Eastern American stand-up, Jobrani’s humour is based in observational comedy. Incidentally, he’s a founding member and driving force behind the famous The Axis of Evil Comedy Tour. His Netflix comedy special Immigrant is currently streaming on the platform and his previous comedy special, Pandemic Warrior, was filmed in Dubai. Not only has the Iranian-American comic made appearances in television’s most popular shows, but he’s also an LA Times best-selling author.
The upcoming Mo Amer and Maz Jobrani show will be presented by Etihad Arena and Al Kalema Productions, in conjunction with Yas Island and the Abu Dhabi Department of Culture and Tourism. Tickets start from AED 250 and will go on sale on Thursday, 27 October at www.etihadarena.ae.
