The Los Angeles-based comedian, musician and internet sensation performs at Etihad Arena on Yas Island on 11 October.
If you haven’t come across Morgan Jay yet, you’re about to. The comedian and musician got his start doing stand-up in the bars and backrooms of New York’s alternative comedy scene after studying at the Tisch School of the Arts. A first-generation American with Brazilian and Italian roots, he’s built a following of 14.6 million across Instagram, TikTok and YouTube, and has appeared on MTV’s Wild ‘N Out, NBC and Comedy Central. He was named a 2023 Just For Laughs New Face and has sold over 170,000 tickets across 24 countries on the current Goofy Guy Tour.
His live show is built around crowd interaction, with Morgan improvising songs about audience members on the spot using his guitar and signature auto-tuned vocals. It’s the kind of thing that’s made his social media clips go viral, but by all accounts, the live experience is even better. On the acting side, he can currently be seen in Stick opposite Owen Wilson and Marc Maron on Apple TV+, and his comedy special Live at The Village is available on Hulu.
Now he’s bringing the show to Abu Dhabi for one night only. The Goofy Guy Tour comes to Etihad Arena on Yas Island on 11 October, presented by Live Nation Middle East in partnership with the Department of Culture and Tourism Abu Dhabi and Miral. The Abu Dhabi date is part of a wider global run that has already taken in shows across the US, Australia, Southeast Asia and Europe.
